On March 8th, as the world celebrated International Women's Day, a powerful community engagement dialogue took place at Simat Kapseret, Kenya. The event was graced by Ruth Kemboi, Officer in Charge of Gender in the department of Social Protection in Uasin Gishu county. It brought together women with disabilities, local authorities, community organizations, and the general public for a day of reflection, empowerment, and solidarity.

The gathering served as a testament to the strength and resilience of women, particularly those facing the additional challenges of living with disabilities. It provided a platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas, fostering a sense of community and support among participants.

Throughout the day, attendees engaged in discussions on a variety of topics, including the achievements and struggles of women in the community, the importance of gender equality and inclusivity, and the role of women in driving positive social change.

The event also featured empowering speeches, performances, and interactive activities aimed at celebrating the accomplishments of women and highlighting the need for continued efforts to advance gender equality and women's rights.

By bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, the Community Engagement Dialogue on International Women's Day served as a catalyst for meaningful action and collaboration. It reinforced the importance of collective efforts in addressing the unique needs and challenges faced by women with disabilities.
